WHY SHOULD WE BOOK WISE WORKSHOPS?
I am passionate about empowering children with the skills they need to look after their own mental health and wellbeing. Having been a teacher for 25+ years, I know first hand, the massive curriculum pressures that face teachers - now more than ever! One of the reasons I have decided to move out of class-based teaching and into this field is because I have seen the increased need for this being taught in schools and have become increasingly frustrated at not being able to devote the necessary time to planning and preparing engaging resources.
HOW CAN YOU BENEFIT OUR SCHOOL OR ORGANISATION?
After these sessions, 90% of children and young people say that they now feel more comfortable talking about their mental health than they did previously.

The sessions teach the children life-long wellbeing skills, that become second-nature to them. We give them the tools that they need to help them deal with the ups and down that they will inevitably face in their lives. Children are taught how to look after their teeth from an early age and it becomes automatic; learning skills to look after your mental health should be just as important.

The sessions are engaging, lively and interactive which the children love. They take into account the children's own experiences and give them a safe space in which to talk about their feelings.

After the workshops, you will receive an overview of the session that can be integrated into your planning. It will make links to the curriculum, the United Nations Convention On The Rights Of The Child and Fundamental British Values.
